SUMMARY
What | A contest between county GOPs to see which county can convert to (AKA register) the most Republicans.
When | The contest will run from Feb. 1 through Apr. 28 (the last day Oregonians can register before the Primary Election).
Who | ANYBODY in your county who wants to convert/register voters.
How We Are Tracking | The ORP receives monthly voter registration data from the SOS that is also be broken out by county. We will use this data to determine the winner.
How County Parties Win | To ensure fairness among counties of different sizes, counties are grouped into four population-based tiers. (These will be clearly shown on the Google Sheet that we will have available in the PCP Portal page by mid-February.) Each tier will recognize one winning county (so there will be four counties that win). Growth is measured as the percentage increase in registered Republican voters using Oregon Secretary of State data during the contest period. The four counties that have the largest percentage increase within their respective tiers will win.
Prizes | Each of the four winning counties will receive a certificate, social media recognition, and statewide bragging rights. In addition , any winning county that exceeds the minimum voter registration growth threshold for its tier during the contest period will receive a $250 bonus.
